Our mission is to educate the public about the negative impact that violence has on our youth and our communities and empower everyone to become involved in the solutions to violent crime. We at High Point Peacemakers are dedicated to reducing and preventing violence in our communities and creating a safe environment for everyone to thrive. Our efforts are aimed at promoting safe communities through violence awareness and prevention, mentoring the youth, community outreach services, education events and materials and door to door interaction with community residents.
Our vision is to work towards a coordinated community response to violence prevention and intervention. We want to work with high-risk individuals to reduce the likelihood of resorting to any form of violence, and also bridge the gaps that exist within the community by engaging in ministerial outreach, youth programs, conferences with law enforcement and public officials, and informational seminars. In doing this, we are determined to bring awareness to the violence that is going on in our culture and increase education on topics such as drug usage, gang violence, sex education, and economic empowerment. We hope that this will promote healing and nonviolence in our Triad community.
