Christian Non-Profit Organization for Public Safety in High Point
We are the High Point Peacemakers, a community organization formed in 2017 with a mission to address the violence in our communities and promote safe environments. Our proactive approach focuses on educating the public about the impact of violence on our youth and communities, mobilizing the community to take action, and providing moral and spiritual support for those affected by violence.
Our vision involves a coordinated community response to violence prevention and intervention. We seek to detect and interrupt conflicts, work with high-risk individuals to reduce violence, and mobilize our communities to change norms. We believe that by bridging the gaps within our community, by collaborating with various stakeholders, including law enforcement, public officials, and educators, and by providing outreach programs, conferences, and seminars on topics such as drug usage, gang violence, and economic empowerment, we can create a culture of peace in our Triad community.
We know that this is a lofty goal, but it is one that we strive to achieve every day. Our work is inspired by the biblical passage in Matthew 5:9, which says, “Blessed are the peacemakers: for they will be called the children of God.” Through our work, we seek to be the voice for victims throughout our community and dedicate our efforts to creating a safe environment for our families, youth, and neighbors.
